During the course of this program, the youth will have an opportunity to compose a song, create a music video and design artwork for their music video props. The goal of this course is to use music and other creative outlets as a tool to build self-esteem, empower the youth to think outside of their circumstances/environment, to provide the youth with a sense of accomplishment and to give them the opportunity to create a powerful visual message that will have a positive impact on their peers.

Build Self-Esteem -

Being a part of this program will help the youth to gain a sense of confidence, knowing that what they have created will be seen and heard by many.

Responsibility –

All kids accepted in this program will be required to maintain a 2.5 GPA. This will place an emphasis on education first which requires the youth to be responsible and diligent in their studies.

Youth Empowerment –

Empower youth to speak positively and to think outside of their environment in order to create the change they desire for themselves and their community.

Accomplishment –

At the end of the program, when the youth see the results of their hard work, dedication, and passion in the form of a music video, they will feel like they have accomplished something important and impactful. This also ties in with building self-esteem.
